MPOS composed of millions of square glass micropores is a grazing-incidence focusing optical device that can focus photons in wavelengths such as X-ray and ultraviolet, and internal square pores are arranged in a radial pattern. In order to obtain the better focusing performance, the inner wall of micropore can also be coated with a reflecting film, and different film materials can be selected for different application bands. The MPOS can be assembled to approximate a Wolter-I optical system, this radial arrangement has many advantages: large effective area to geometric area ratio.
